Synopsis: Jim Franken is an ordinary guy living in a city with millions of people. Knowing that at least one million of those inhabitants are single women, he sees no reason why he shouldn’t be able to find his soulmate. Jim thinks of the dating game as an equation. He is confident that if he approaches it in a rational, sensible manner that he will surely find the woman of his dreams. Poor Jim… well, let’s see what happens anyway…

Cast and Crew:

Mark Daniel Cade (Jim) is the writer and executive producer of  “Nice Guy.” Mark has a BFA in Musical-Theater from the University of Michigan and an MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He has appeared on “Friends,” guest starred on “One On One” and “Getting Personal” and played recurring roles on “Seinfeld,” “The O.C.” and  “Working.” Mark’s film credits include “Meaning Of Violence” as well as leading roles in the films “True Men” and “Middle Man.”

Kerry Logan, (Director of “Nice Guy”) worked in New York as an actor and writer for the stage before eventually moving to Los Angeles. Shortly after his arrival he began directing and producing as well and has produced, written and/or directed over 100 corporate and theatrical stage productions on the West Coast.  Kerry has won several awards for his previous films including “Life’s Calling,” “Waiting for Johnnie Walker” and “True Men.” Kerry and Mark met when Kerry cast him as the lead in “True Men.”

Maureen Toth (Tina) studied Liberal Arts at Boston University and then attended the Stella Adler Conservatory in New York. Currently living in Los Angeles, she owns a boutique talent agency for below the line artists for film and television. Maureen is also a singer/songwriter – performing, writing and recording with several musicians in the greater Los Angeles area.

Oriko Ikeda (Rachel) was born in Japan and made her lifelong dream of living in the United States a reality when she attended the University of Pittsburgh. After appearing in several short films on the East Coast, she relocated to Los Angeles where she has done a several stage productions, films and other media projects. 

Ingrid Walters (Cheryl) is an accomplished actor in the realms of TV, film, commercials, and stage. She recently completed the made-for-television movie “Reluctant Nanny.” Her first major film role was in “Amistad” and she also played lifeguard Sheryl Whelan on “Baywatch” for two years.

Mia Ella Jordan (Nina) is a Chilean/Croatian actor, voice-over artist & dancer based in LA since 2013. Some of her work includes Nickelodeon’s “Bubbleguppies” & Disney’s “Poppetstown” in their Spanish versions. Her feature film work includes “Basketball Girlfriend” & “After Ours.”

Jessica Blair (Jamie) has been a recurring sketch comedy character on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and Conan. She has also done several national commercials. Jessica can be seen frequently doing theater in the Los Angeles area. Her background also includes a career as a professional dancer in classical ballet and modern dance.

Sandy Plute (Suzy) Sandy has done several TV commercials and co-starred on various television shows as well.  She has starred in numerous music videos  including her own and is a Singer/Songwriter with over 25 songs that have been placed in Television and Film projects.

Tharam Singh (Liz) is an experienced comedy and improv actress with a major TV appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno. She is a producer with her improv team “Tomboys In Fishnets” and is also the lead in the YouTube hit “Happy Ending” which has over 12 million views.

Katie Runnerstrom (Kelsey) has been professionally acting for several years but her first passion lies in the fine arts, specifically painting and illustration. After graduating from art school at Virginia Tech in May 2013, she moved out to Los Angeles where she continues her acting career as well as, fine arts, pastry creation, baking and fitness instruction.

Celina Chapin (Letty) is an actress and award-winning choreographer who recently relocated to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas. She’s played principle roles in several upcoming films including Richard Linklater’s, “That’s What I’m Talking About,” and Lian Lunson’s, “Waiting for the Miracle to Come.” Celina is very excited to join the cast of Nice Guy!
